Hi,
At the end of July, I spent two days in Chicago taking a class from Forme Millinery owner, Jenny Pfanenstiel. I had the best time and she is a fantastic teacher! The hat I made is made by hand, except for machine stitching the wire to the hat, using Sinamay, a wooden hat block, hat wire, handmade and purchased embellishments, thread and a padded headband. Not only did I learn to block and make a hat, I also learned to make and style embellishments for a hat. I'm so excited to get started with another hat in my studio. Jenny was also helpful in providing resources for supplies and has Sinamay, embellishments, and veiling, both modern and vintage available for purchase at her studio. Here is the link for her shop:

I'm waiting to see if my ebay bid for a wooden hat block is going to win and then I'll have the supplies I need to make a Fascinator. Then, the fun begins. I'm excited to begin making bridal and vow renewal fascinators for my Fall Collection. Below is a pose of me and my new Hat!
