Back from Vacation!

I'm back from Boston. My daughter, Kelli is all moved in and started classes at Boston University School of Public Health this week. We were able to work in a shopping trip to the Frye Boot Store on Newbury Street and I had time to visit to the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Both great places to visit. The collections at the Museum are varied. I particularly enjoyed the beautiful laces that Mrs. Gardner collected from all over the world.

Now it's time to let you know what's been going on at our Shop and also, on our Etsy Shop. First the Etsy Shop is having a FREE SHIPPING sale on all garters/garter sets from Sept. 4 -30. Several new styles of garters with glitzy embellishments are included in the sale. A new gift section in my Etsy Shop will be added later this month and will feature Retro aprons. Great gifts for Bridal Showers, Christmas and Birthdays. These aprons will also be available at my Cresco, Iowa Shop. Plans are underway for an Holiday Open House on Nov. 30, which is also Small Business Saturday. Look for Holiday Sparkle and Surprises all over the Shop. Come on over and join the fun!

Vacation Notice!

Marti & Co Etsy Shop will be on Vacation while I help my daughter, Kelli move to Boston, MA. She will be attending Boston University.  I will be on vacation from August 20 - 29th. You may still purchase items from my shop during this time, however, your purchases will not be shipped until I return, August 29th.

A Day at Soutache Ribbons

My daughter Kelli and I went to Soutache Ribbons in Chicago, recently, to buy embellishments to add glitz and glamour to our inventory.  Here’s a look at what we bought:

Today's color is GREEN.  With emerald green being Pantone's 2013 Color of the Year, we thought it was fitting to feature this fabulous color.  It's such a fun color to add into your outfits and is so versatile!
